Hi Bill,
The cameras do not support any form of control, or audio, via SDI... the SDI only carries the video signal.
Traditionally you would utilize the RS232 / RS485 control port(s) for remote control without a network.
Utilizing a network and a network connection for control via TCP, UDP or NDI is simply another option.

Can I control ALL PTZ camera functions via SDI cable? Is Ethernet required to control the PTZ camera's Zoom and Tilt functions remotely?
While none of the videos online have stipulated that Ethernet/NDI cabling is REQUIRED or the ONLY way that tilt and zoom functioning are controlled, they seem to avoid just coming out and saying anything one way or the other.
It is a little frustrating to say the least.
