On a recent production project, I experienced what looked like non-synchronous video on both of my 20x SDI G2 cameras. There were never any signal issues with the Sony camera
Here's the setup...
2 PTZ Cameras
1 Un-staffed Sony PXW-X70 camera
all connected to a BMD Studio switcher via SDI cable.
100' SDI cable runs from both PTZ cameras
25' Run from the Sony camera
PTZ Control to the PTZ cameras via shielded CAT5 - 100' max cable length
Sometime the PTZ camera signal would blank out, other times it would shift horizontally in the frame. And then mysteriously reset.
Has anyone else ever experienced a video error like the ones described above?
