I have a new 20x ZCAM with one annoying hot pixel. In the manual, under VISCA commands, there are two entries that refer to Dynamic Hot Pixel settings of 0 (off) and 1 - 6. Does this mean there is a way to deal with the pixel internally via RS485?
Unfortunately the Dynamic Hot Pixel is a feature that is only supported on some of the cameras, where available it is enabled by default with no ability to alter the state.
We apologize that the command has not been removed from the command list but we will make sure to update that as soon as possible to prevent further confusion.
I would make sure to contact PTZOptics support to help evaluate the hot pixel issue you are experiencing so they can potentially replace the camera if necessary.
